NOW AND THEN - AMOR PAZ LUZ

Image
May your hearts' desires shine bright to the stars  in love, peace and light.   All my love to my family, dear friends and everyone who has inspired, encouraged and supported me during this difficult year.

NOW AND THEN - HERE

Image
Loss is part of our human experience, most of us will suffer the death of people we love during our life and face the long process of grieving. There are times when our loved ones are quietly remembered with love and smiles and other days when their absence is a struggle. It helps me to know they are always with us, in our memories, in our dreams, in our daily lives.

NOW AND THEN - FOREVER

Image
It is hard to believe 5 years have passed without my wonderful Dad, although as I write the word 'without', aware of him looking down at me from the mantelpiece, I know he is still with me and always will be.

NOW AND THEN - HARMONY

Image
Dream time, back in bluebell woods, standing on a sea washed shore as dawn rises, holding hands in peace, love flowing, promising to witness the dream as we wake to a new day.

NOW AND THEN - SHINE ON

Image
Never be afraid to say what you feel, how ever crazy it seems, whatever the fear of ridicule. Our story is our truth, our dream world reflects reality,  sharing brings healing and peace.

NOW AND THEN - CALLING

Image
The dreams linger, half formed in the half light, waiting for the call to turn dream worlds into reality.

NOW AND THEN - IN THE CIRCLE

Image
At this time of year when unrelenting heat dries the land and the trees and countryside wait for autumn rains, I long for the cool green of the North, where I visit in my dreams.

NOW AND THEN - GLOAMING

Image
There is a brief moment when the setting sun slips away, the moon is rising, stars are starting to blink and I am lost in the depths of perfect blue. Gloaming more usually brings to mind winter oak woods, crows flapping at dusk, the moon through bare branches but today the word was given to me and it seems a perfect fit for the Spanish twilight.

NOW AND THEN - TO SEE

NOW AND THEN - LOVE IS THE ANSWER

Image
When all seems dark, love is the answer. Follow the light.

NOW AND THEN - WHISTLING

Image
I am blessed by nature, living near to both mountains and sea, able to lose myself walking in trees. The wind on my mind, whistling seemingly impossible dreams.

NOW AND THEN - DREAM HEALING

Image
Lost again in the dream world, where all is possible, peace and healing flow as golden as the setting sun on the sea.  We only need to wake and remember.

NOW AND THEN - BORDERLINE

Image
The healing power of nature as our troubles are washed out to sea, love and forgiveness bringing peace.

NOW AND THEN - HEALING

Image
I am still haunted by the thought that tomorrow maybe too late, as others have said so well in words and song, say it now, heal the hurts, find peace in our hearts.

NOW AND THEN - MAY CHIMES

Image
Remembering my mother on her birthday. My grandchildren and I tinkle the wind chimes, as she always did when walking by in her garden.

NOW AND THEN - MIRRORED

Image
The desire to connect with our lost loves, to speak with them one more time, to say the words that were never said and find peace is one that I imagine we all feel at times. If only they were the other side of the mirror looking back at us.

NOW AND THEN - BE LOVE

Image
I had little hope of seeing the sun on a damp and cloudy day. It came out as I walked through this arch  of holm oak, the winding ivy and mossed stones glinting, lighting the path onwards. The peace and serenity I felt stayed with me as these words came to my mind in dream time.

NOW AND THEN - LOVE IN BLUE

Image
Once again I am missing bluebells. I am fortunate to be able to walk in Mediterranean woods, like all of our time spent with nature, they are restoring and energising places. Still, I miss the bluebells, their beauty and the feeling of peace and healing I feel when walking in woods with loved ones. In my mind today are those who are no longer with us, who loved bluebell woods, who I find still in our sacred places.

NOW AND THEN - DREAMING OF BLUEBELLS

Image
I seem to be spending this strange year in dream land and no better place to wander than in bluebell woods. Memories of walking with my mother in Crackley Woods, with my dear friend in the wood by her home, where I was always welcome, with my brother. Another year missing and dreaming of  bluebells.

NOW AND THEN - WOOD OF DREAMS

Image
I dream of the day I can see the green lady by the rushing stream, under the shade of oak. I dream our midnight thoughts become daylight reality, in words and deeds and song.  I dream of healing and better days.

NOW AND THEN - DREAM DOOR

Image
A time of enforced idleness, walking in my mind, meeting in my dreams.

NOW AND THEN - IGUALDAD

Image
This year we support International Women's Day from home, unable to attend demonstrations, events or celebrations. Parcent Town Hall have marked the day by asking for people to create a banner to decorate their house. Mine remembers the strike held on this day in Spain in 2018, when women across the country withdrew their labour and hundreds of thousands marched across cities in a cry for our rights.  In the village we showed our support for the day of action by tying aprons to our balconies. Sadly there remains much to be done in the fight for equality and we need to remember everyday that women across the world still suffer discrimination in the home, at work, with pay and in society. Today we also honour all those who have given their time and energy to campaign for our rights.  The original poem in English is on the link below.  https://blog.healingwordspoetry.com/2018/03/huelga-women-in-spain-strike-on.html https://blog.healingwordspoetry.com/2020/03/a-poem-day-huelg...

NOW AND THEN - SOLACE

Image
For those that find solace by the sea, let the waves wash away your troubles and the dancing sun lighten your heart.

NOW AND THEN - THE DREAMER

Image
The dream brings a message waiting to be heard,  the dreamer only needs to catch it when dawn breaks .
