A POEM A DAY - REFLECTIONS


Today the river running through the Marjal marshes near Pego was still, the joining canal blocked as the rice paddies fed by the canals are harvested. The air was calm, all felt still until a breeze shook the leaves of the poplar, hanging over the river bank, the silver backed leaves reflecting on the water.
