A POEM OF DAY - TWIST OF JASMINE

From my roof terrace I overlook a number of empty houses whose patios and terraces are over run with bushes of luminous green, dotted with white jasmine flower. The flowers release their perfume in the evening when the air is sweet with scent, mixing now with the drift of wood smoke as villagers light their Autumn fires.
