A POEM A DAY - NOVEMBER ROSE

This beautiful rose was winding round a cast iron fence in the village 'Vall de Ebo' . The perfume from the late roses and the deep red bloom reminded me of the 'Lili de Marlene' rose my father planted for my mother in my childhood garden. Autumn leaves were falling from poplars along the mostly dried river bed and the midday sun was still strong on the first day of November.
